'I was not apprehensive about taking up Dill Mill Gayee' : SUKIRTI KANDPAL
Sukriti Khandpal has replaced Shilpa Anand in the television soap, Dill Mill Gayee, after the latter opted out. Her character Dr Riddhima has steadily climbed up the popularity charts.
First, tell us about yourself?
I am from Nainital, Uttaranchal. My father is a public prosecutor in Nainital, and my mother is a housewife. I came to Mumbai when I was 14. People think that I came to Mumbai to join the glamour world. But the truth is that I came here to study in a good school. Mumbai is the best place for that.
How did you get your first break?
I was with friends at a coffee shop, when a creative director with Cinevista spotted me and asked me to meet him later for an audition. I auditioned for Jersey No 10 and was selected. I was thrilled!
Were you apprehensive about taking up Dill Mill Gayee, in a character made famous by another actress?
More than 150 episodes had been telecast with Shilpa Anand playing my role, and she was doing a good job. So making a mark was very difficult. What made matters worse was the fact I had never watched the show earlier! So I had to start from scratch.
But frankly, I was not apprehensive at all. When I was identified for this role, I thought if the production house had found me suitable, they must have had a reason. Plus, the audience would judge whether I was capable of doing the role or not.
This show has given me fame and fortune and I need to express my gratitude to it by working exclusively for Dill Mill Gayee.
How are your co-stars?
All of them are very nice. Karan Singh Grover is very helpful. He made sure I was comfortable in the show. Apart from him, I must mention how much the creative heads of this serial helped me. They would always boost my ego to make sure that I performed to the best of my capabilities.
Your look here is very different from Jersey No 10.
I sported a Western look in Jersey No 10. Here, I am mostly wearing salwar suits!
In real life, I have curly hair but on screen, I have to wear straight hair. So my look in this show is quite different from what I really look.
What is your parents' reaction?
Initially, my father was upset. He felt I was too young to decide my future. I am 20 year old. He tries to protect me even now. But slowly, he started liking my work and my decisions. They were also happy since I had completed my college studies. After seeing me in Dill Mill Gayee, they are very happy and proud for me.
Is there a man in your life?
Yes, there is but he is not from the television industry. He is from the hotel industry. We have been seeing each other since our college days.

But once everyone reaches the party, Diya has other plans� she announces that Gunjan would sing a song for all of them, very well knowing that singing in public would unnerve Gunjan. Samrat once again steps in and comes to her rescue� He makes everyone join in the song and enjoy a fine festive time together.

21 oct Dmg Written update
Rahul and Muskaan go to the counselor. We freeze with Riddhima reading a letter found in Shashank office and being shocked.Riddhima is all shocked and starts walking on the road aimlessly. Atul sells of his cycle to get Anjali her karva chuath gift. Armaan suspects that something is wrong as she seems lost all the time. We freeze with her getting up and walking away from the café in anger shocking everyone.

Armaan & ridz were present in canteen.armaan show his photographs with NIKI.Ridz said that pictures are very nice.Armaan said now you show me your photographs.ridz laugh & said armaan did you trust me ?I love you.Suddenly anjie came & ask wht ??ridz said thet armaan came her becoz of photographs.she said ok..
Next morning in sanjeevani some one gift a cycle to atul.subanker said wht’s that ? he told him.He said sir we will have to hide it becoz anje was coming here.anjie asked from him wat’s that ? he told her the truth. Rahul & muskaan were fight.rahul said to muskaan if the counselor touched you I will beat him.
In locker room armaan hug NIKI.niki don’t know anything.she was looking confused.then ridz told her the truth.on nurse station dr,keerti give duties to interns.armaan hold NIKI’s hand & kissed her.Ridz was looking serious.

Sunaina Gulia{ Dr. Anjali Gupta }
Sunaina Gulia's journey in the television industry started two years back. She had been working as an anchor for Voyage Television. Now, after making it through the Star One audition, Sunaina has landed herself the lead role of Dr. Anjali Gupta in the new serial Dill Mill Gayye.
Shilpa Anand {Dr. Ridhima Gupta}
Shilpa started her career as a software developer. Her sister name is Sakshi Anand, who pushed Shilpa to become an actress. She featured in Hindi movie Iqraar. She also done Telugu and Kannada movie too. Recently she is coming in TV serial Dil Mill Gayye as Dr. Ridhima Gupta which is aired in Star One.

Mile Jab Hum Tum.
The coolest kids in Mumbai are all jet set to heat up this winter with zest, energy and oodles of fun… while the horizon is set ablaze for them with hopes and aspirations, circumstances seem to eclipse them when Diya (the college diva) finds out that she needs to host two cousins… cousins as in "small towners"… and that is so NOT HAPPENING!
Mumbai has been their Utopia and their march towards it has just begun. The glass domes and glass bubbles they envisioned are about to become real. Dill Mill Gaye 3rd Oct 07~Watch Online~ Gaye is a show aimed at the urban educated youth. Set in the backdrop of a hospital it deals with the pressures, the drama, the romance, the inter personal relationships and humour in the lives of young doctors. Keeping the environment of a hospital in mind, the characters of the show are real, their issues are believable and the approach is dramatic, but never unreal, albeit emotional and fun filled.
Hence, our protagonist Riddhima is a 21-year-old intern with dreams and aspirations of becoming a top class doctor. Like any other youngster of today, she has spunk and the spirit to have fun. What sets her apart is her ability to ride through the roughest storms relying on the honesty and integrity, which has been a part of her upbringing.
